We are excited to announce that the Mercedes-Benz 10k website is officially launched, and registration open. Log on at: www.mercedes10k.com.
The date of the event is Sunday, April 26, 2009.
Starting and finishing on the sprawling park-like campus of Appleby College, the Mercedes-Benz 10k is the only race in the country that will give away a new car to a finisher of the 10 kilometer course. Where most races will award the grand prize to the first-place finisher, at the Mercedes-Benz 10k, everyone who crosses the finish line has an equal chance to win a new 2009 Mercedes-Benz B-Class, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz Oakville Autohaus.
Proceeds benefit the United Way of Oakville. With several ways to fundraise and donate, our goal is to provide Oakville residents with opportunities to make a collective impact, and a difference to the health of our community.
The excitement behind the inaugural Mercedes-Benz 10k is off to a very brisk start. Just shy of three months before race day, the Mercedes-Benz 10k has confirmed participation of 190 in just the first 3 weeks of registration.

We would be thrilled if you could join us for the 10k run, 10k power walk, or 1k walk. Or if you can't participate please consider volunteering ...it is a fantastic way to see what goes on behind-the-scenes and cheer on all your fellow runners and power walkers.

Just a friendly reminder that the registration fee for the Mercedes-Benz 10k increases this Saturday (tomorrow) at midnight. So please be sure to log onto www.mercedes10k.com to register should you be interested in realizing the $5 in savings.
